About Nadeem
I've always been excited by physics and maths and I have enjoyed sharing this passion with first my classmates at Lancaster University, then with my colleagues at Barclays Bank and then again with my classmates and colleagues at The Technical University of Munich. Whenever I talk with non-physicists about my work and physics in general, many say they were put off physics in school because of a poor syllabus or teacher. I hope to show you the cool side of physics and after exploring this, classroom physics will come naturally

True understanding doesn't come from memorising equations and "important" numbers, but rather an appreciation for the thought process. Together we will pull apart problems you face in class or in the textbook and ask ourselves why this has to be so, over and over until we land at the most basic description and build from there. For example, you might ask, why does hot air rise? You must then ask why does air get hot? What is heat? After exploring these questions and building back up, you will intuitively understand how and why this overused concept only applies a) in a closed system, b) out of equilibrium and c) that it is not really the "air" that rises, but rather the change in pressure which moves around. Once we have each layer of understanding, we can think about how one might try to formalise this in a mathematical way and then, for sure everything will become clear.
