About Jiang
I approach teaching with strong professionalism, academic rigor, and a deep sense of responsibility to my students’ progress. With PhD-level training and academic research experience, I deliver accurate, well-structured lessons aligned with course requirements. I have previously taught an SFU student STAT201 through one-on-one Zoom sessions, using carefully prepared slides and focused explanations of key and challenging topics, successfully helping the student pass after a prior failure. I foster a supportive, respectful environment and tailor my methods to each student’s background and goals, building confidence and lasting skills in math and statistics.

In previous lessons, I prepared structured PowerPoint slides tailored to each student’s syllabus, clearly outlining key concepts, formulas, and exam expectations. I focused especially on difficult and high-yield topics , breaking them into step-by-step explanations with worked examples. For statistics courses such as STAT201, I emphasized hypothesis testing, probability distributions, and interpretation of results, while reinforcing the mathematical foundations behind them. I also provided practice questions, summary notes, and targeted reviews of common mistakes to ensure the student fully understood the material and could apply it confidently in exams.
