My lessons are usually 1-2 hours long. I tailor my lesson content for a wide variety of skill levels, from complete beginner lessons that don't require any prior programming experience (logic, theory, fundamental principles) to lessons for experienced programmers who would like to extend their knowledge to particular areas (GUIs, web scraping, big data analysis and visualisation, sustainable software development practices).
All theoretical teaching will be language-agnostic, while all practical teaching will use Python. I'm happy to help with setting up a development environment for learning. All practical code will be taught with PEP8 and common industry-standard guidelines in mind.

Would whole heartily recommend Alex, he has a great knowledge of 3D modelling and CAD software.I met Alex whilst working on X-ray imaging through a placement, and was lucky enough to experience first hand what a great teacher he is. He explained complex technical concepts clearly and patiently, never made me feel bad for asking questions, and was always happy to go through things again from a different angle. He took the time, even outside placement hours, to make sure I understood why things worked, not just how to do them, which made me far more confident working independently. His scientific competency and technical skills are excellent, and he's just as good at passing them on. I'd recommend him to any student, whether a beginner or already experienced.
I highly recommend Alex as a teacher. I met him during an internship and he taught me lots of things even if my english was not perfect. He has a lot of knowledge in various areas and is very passionate about everything he teaches. He is also very patient and explains complex scientific concepts with ease.
I've known Alexander in a professional and teaching environment, and have seen his work firsthand. His lectures are well-prepared, fully structured, and interactive, and his passion for science is super contagious. His work now also includes outreach, which has impacted positively on his skills for keeping people engaged in a topic while explaining to a broad audience, from toddlers to other scientists.
