About Tonya
I am an adult learner. I have a child in high school and one in elementary school that also has special needs. I have seen firsthand how much one-on-one instruction gives them the confidence to ask questions without feeling self-conscious or embarrassed that they do not immediately understand what seems to come naturally to their peers. Even my own education has moved forward only with supplemental instruction.
I believe that the best way to improve our world is through education and learning. Whether you choose me or another tutor, just know that I think that you are brave and making an important and intelligent decision by asking for help.

As a student myself, I understand that we all need help sometimes. I have found that one-on-one instruction holds the greatest potential for success as it removes many of the hurdles students face when struggling with a subject or concept. It's just you and me, and we both want to learn.
