About Hazel
My interest in piano began when I first explored music on a keyboard during my early school years. I became fascinated by how different notes combine to create melody and harmony. This curiosity encouraged me to continue studying music and eventually complete a Master’s Degree in Piano Performance.
Over the past 8 years, I have worked with students who want to learn piano for personal growth and creative enjoyment. Some learners begin with no musical experience, while others want to strengthen their technique and understanding of music. My teaching style focuses on patience and clear explanation so students feel comfortable learning step by step.
Outside teaching, I enjoy practicing piano and studying compositions from different musical periods. I often explore new musical ideas and techniques to deepen my understanding of the instrument. Teaching piano allows me to share my love for music while helping students discover their own musical potential.

My piano lessons are designed to help students understand music while becoming comfortable with the keyboard. Beginners begin by learning the layout of the piano keys and the basic names of notes. I guide students through simple exercises that help them coordinate both hands while playing short melodies. These early lessons help learners understand rhythm and basic music reading while developing confidence with the instrument.
As students progress, lessons include scale practice, chord patterns, and longer musical pieces. I explain how rhythm, tempo, and dynamics influence the way music sounds and feels. Students practice reading sheet music carefully while improving finger movement and hand coordination. These exercises help learners develop better technique and stronger musical understanding.
Learning piano requires steady practice and patience. I encourage students to practice short sections of music slowly and carefully before playing full pieces. Over time, learners build stronger finger strength and improved rhythm awareness. My goal is to help students enjoy learning piano while gradually developing confidence and musical ability.
