About Tessa
I completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Classical Piano Education after years of studying keyboard performance, musical interpretation, and collaborative musicianship during my academic training. Over the last 9 years, I have worked with students from different age groups and experience levels, helping them improve through personalized instruction and carefully planned lessons. Teaching piano allows me to combine communication, creativity, and structured musical guidance in a deeply rewarding way. I enjoy helping learners discover that music can become both enjoyable and empowering with the right support.
My teaching approach focuses on encouragement, adaptability, and balanced skill development. Some students respond best to technical repetition and organized exercises, while others improve more naturally through creativity and musical exploration. I carefully adapt lessons according to each learner’s comfort level, learning style, and musical interests. Along with technical growth, I help students strengthen listening ability, rhythm awareness, expressive playing, and performance confidence. Building a calm and welcoming learning environment remains one of my highest priorities.
Outside teaching, I continue practicing piano, exploring different musical styles, and studying creative teaching methods that help keep my lessons engaging and fresh. Music remains an important part of my life because it encourages emotional expression, discipline, and artistic growth. One of the most rewarding parts of teaching is seeing students become more confident and independent musicians over time. Helping learners enjoy music while developing lasting piano skills continues to inspire me greatly.

My piano lessons are designed to help students build confidence and musical fluency through structured and encouraging guidance. I teach note reading, rhythm control, finger coordination, chord understanding, and hand independence using practical exercises that feel manageable and enjoyable for learners at every level. Lessons also include sight-reading practice, duet activities, listening exercises, and creative improvisation that help students improve naturally over time. I create a supportive learning environment where students can ask questions freely and progress steadily without feeling overwhelmed. Every lesson balances technical development with creativity and personal musical expression.
Beginners receive patient guidance with posture, scales, simple melodies, and timing exercises that create strong foundational habits. Intermediate learners improve reading fluency, pedal technique, coordination accuracy, and expressive phrasing through organized practice and musical studies. Advanced students focus on emotional interpretation, dynamic balance, performance preparation, and advanced repertoire refinement through detailed coaching and performance activities. I carefully adapt lessons according to each learner’s pace, confidence level, and musical goals so progress remains balanced and encouraging throughout the learning process.
Learning piano should feel inspiring and personally meaningful. I encourage students to enjoy the process of musical growth while building confidence through consistent practice and supportive feedback. Many learners become more expressive, disciplined, and independent as their musical skills continue improving over time. My goal is to help students create a lasting connection with music while strengthening both technical ability and creativity.
