About Irene
Hi! I’m Irene. I completed ABRSM Grade 8 (equivalent to Grade 10 in Canada) and have played piano for 10+ years as a long-term hobby and personal interest.
My goal is to help students feel comfortable starting piano, especially those who think learning music is difficult or stressful. I focus on building a clear foundation — posture, rhythm, hand coordination, and basic reading — while learning real songs, so students understand what they are playing instead of only memorizing.
I am patient and explain concepts step-by-step, making lessons suitable for complete beginners, returning learners, and anyone who simply wants a relaxing and enjoyable activity. Lessons are not exam-oriented; they are designed to build confidence and allow students to gradually become independent players.
I believe piano should be something you look forward to practicing, not something you feel pressured to do.

I teach piano mainly for interest and enjoyment — not exam-focused.
I understand many people quit piano because it felt stressful or restrictive.
So my lessons are built around one simple idea: learn music you actually want to play.
My Teaching Style
• Students can choose the songs they like (anime, pop, game music, classics — anything playable)
• Complete beginners are welcome — I teach from zero knowledge
• I explain step-by-step instead of expecting fast reading ability
• No pressure, no forced memorization, no exam training
