About Rafael

GUARANTEE: If you have never played drums before, you will leave your sample class playing a complete song.

Each class is prepared in advance to optimize the experience of each student, taking into account their facilities, troubles, musical genre preferences and the teaching dynamics that most grab their attention.

Every class is practical and accompanied by music that applies the subject the student is learning at the moment. The music theory aspect of each subject is introduced only if the student has interest in it, and only after the practical aspect is internalized.

My methodology prioritizes growing the student's interest in making music on the drum set, for that reason the class has to be dynamic, pleasant and the progress has to be palpable after each class, even if the student doesn't study on his or her spare time.

Classes are taught at a well located music school where I'm a teacher at. Here you will have access to the same methodology and infrastructure, but at a better price.

About the lesson

I have a bachelor's degree in music from UFMG, where I've learned from world renowned professors both the performance and the teaching methodology aspects of music, for all ages and levels of prior musical knowledge.

I've been playing with artists of the most varied musical genres in Belo Horizonte's music scene. From Rock n' Roll to Pagode, from country to samba, from MPB to Sertanejo, from the carnaval to wedding cerimonies. I've been working at renowned musical education institutions, such as Avantgarde and CMI.
