Melissa has an impressive and important educational background and work experience that serve as foundation for the work she does as a teacher. Her background in political science and literature (she is a published poet!) provide important context. She has extensive work experience as an instructor and pedagogical analyst. In her latter role, she develops syllabi and study plans; this is expertise she brings with her of course in her role as instructor.
