About Minna
Hi! My name is Minna and I am a student studying at Cambridge University. I have been tutoring for several years now and find it a fun and rewarding challenge! There are no set 'methods' when it comes to teaching, everybody learns best in different ways and tutoring is a space where teaching isn't based on 'lesson plans' and what ways are easiest for the teacher, I ensure that the way we work best suits you. Tutoring is about translating understanding, all I ask is that you never hold back on asking as many questions you physically can until you understand! Structuring and planning is easy, and can come later, but that core understanding is what pushes you to your best ability.

My methodology is relative upon what methods are most receptive to each student. Whether through slides, activities, quizzes, or open discussion, each child learns differently and through building rapport I learn to tailor tutoring to the method which can allow for the best results. I do however ensure that each politics lesson begins with a weekly discussion of current events, to both help evidence political essays with the freshest examples, and ensure that politics is understood as an ongoing mechanism which affects and shapes the world we live in today.
