About Rosalie

I am a Conservatoire student in England specialising in the viola. I play both violin and viola to a post-grade 8 standard and have been studying since age 9. I have taught violin for the past 2 years and I love nurturing musical potential and fostering my students' enthusiasm for their instruments.

I have an enhanced DBS certificate and I am a regular assistant with youth orchestras in my local area.

I adapt my lessons to each student and I have experience with SEN. I am relaxed and friendly in my approach but I still value solid technique.

About the lesson

Whether you're a complete beginner or working towards Grade 8, I offer online lessons tailored to each student's individual needs and goals.

As a current Conservatoire student, I aim to make lessons enjoyable, encouraging and well-structured, helping students build confidence while developing good technique and musicianship.

Lessons are suitable for both children and adults and can include:

Learning to read music
Developing technique and posture
Music theory
Preparation for ABRSM or Trinity Grade 1–8 exams
A wide range of repertoire, from classical to film and popular music
Support with audition and performance preparation

Lesson lengths:

20 minutes – ideal for younger children
30 minutes – suitable for beginners
45 minutes – recommended for older students and those working towards exams

Lessons take place online.
