About Ryder
Hello! I’m a native Chinese (Mandarin) speaker with a strong interest in language, communication, and cycling.
I work in the cycling industry, designing and leading cycling trips, and regularly communicating with international riders. This experience has helped me develop a clear and practical way of explaining Chinese in real-life contexts.
I focus on what most learners truly need: real-world communication. I can help you speak more naturally, improve your pronunciation, and build confidence in everyday situations like travel, ordering food, or casual conversations.
I am patient, well-prepared, and supportive. My lessons are structured but relaxed, so you can improve step by step without pressure.
I especially enjoy working with learners who want to use Chinese in travel, outdoor activities, or everyday life.
If you’re looking for a friendly, reliable, and affordable tutor, I’d be happy to help.

I focus on making Chinese practical, intuitive, and enjoyable rather than overly academic. As a native speaker, I help students understand how the language is actually used in real life—whether in daily conversation, travel, or social situations.
A Typical Lesson (60 minutes) is usually structured like this:
1. Warm-up (5–10 min)
Light discussion to get comfortable speaking
2. New content (15–20 min)
Vocabulary, sentence patterns, or real-life expressions
3. Practice (20–25 min)
Role-playing or guided conversation
4. Feedback (5–10 min)
Corrections, tips, and natural phrasing
5. Optional homework
Simple voice recordings, TV shows for fun.
What Sets Me Apart?
1. Native, real-life Chinese
2. Flexible and personalized
3. Affordable pricing
Who My Lessons Are For?
1. Complete beginners with no prior knowledge
2. Intermediate learners who want to improve Chinese
3. Travelers preparing for China or Chinese-speaking regions
4. Students who want casual conversation practice
5. People interested in Chinese culture
I am especially a good fit for learners who prefer a practical, communication-focused approach rather than exam-heavy study.
