About Emilia

My name is Emilia, I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and I've lived in Lyon since August 2025. I have a degree in Music, which means I particularly enjoy discussing culture, music, or any other topic that sparks a conversation.

I have experience teaching Spanish in Brittany, where I worked as a Spanish language assistant in two primary schools and a middle school. Even though my background is in music, I've studied languages all my life, which allows me to understand the challenges one faces as a learner, especially when speaking.

I believe that speaking is one of the most important parts of learning a language. When we speak, we improvise: we use the resources we have and adapt them to express what we want to say, even if it's not perfect. It's in this process that the language becomes alive and personal.

I am not a teacher: I offer a supportive space to speak, make mistakes, ask questions and gain confidence in speaking, at your own pace.

About the lesson

I offer Spanish conversation sessions focused on oral practice to improve fluency and pronunciation. Depending on your needs, I can also help you with specific situations (travel, work), clarify any doubts, rephrase, or correct as needed. If you wish, our conversations can also be an opportunity to share about Argentine culture: language, expressions, music, traditions, and more. The conversations are personalized, relaxed, and communication-focused, with the goal of boosting your confidence in speaking.

I started these lessons to get some basic grammar for a trip to Argentina, I ended up learning a lot of essential vocabulary that no school would have tought (why Argentinians call Lucas a thousand pesos I'll never know). After only 3 months I have dulce de leche in my veins.
She's re piola! 10/10 would recommend :)
