About Kate
I am a Singing tutor with 13 years of experience, having taught over 250 High School and College students. My teaching focuses on strengthening vocal techniques, improving pitch, tone, breath control, and stage presence. I believe singing is both a technical skill and a form of personal expression, so I help students connect with music emotionally while mastering the fundamentals. My teaching philosophy emphasises patience, personalised guidance, and a supportive learning environment where students feel confident to explore their voice. Many of my students have performed in competitions, school events, and college festivals, earning awards and recognition. My goal is to nurture confident, skilled singers who enjoy music and develop a lifelong passion for singing.

My singing teaching methodology focuses on adaptability, creativity, and positive guidance. I understand that students learn differently, so I design lessons to match their learning pace and style. Lessons include warm-ups, breathing techniques, pitch training, tone development, and expressive singing. I explain concepts simply and demonstrate techniques for clarity. Creativity is encouraged through musical exploration and experimenting with styles. Diplomacy plays an important role. I provide gentle corrections and consistent encouragement, helping students overcome hesitation and build confidence. In addition to Singing, I teach rhythm training, ear training, basic music reading, vocal hygiene, posture, and performance skills. These subjects strengthen both vocal and musical growth.
