About Carla
I am an experienced private tutor working with students of all ages and levels. I am passionate about teaching and believe that anyone can learn anything if it is explained well and at their own pace. I hold the Oxford Test of English Advanced (C1) certificate and have spent eight weeks in Ireland, which has given me a real and practical understanding of the language—not just from the textbook. I am approachable, patient, and deeply committed to each student's progress. I take my work seriously and prepare each lesson carefully, always keeping in mind that learning should be a positive and motivating experience. I have a long history of helping students improve their grades, gain confidence, and overcome their fear of the subjects they find most challenging. And that, honestly, is what I love most about this job.

My classes focus on understanding, not memorizing. I adapt to each student because I know that not everyone learns the same way—and I'm very clear about that. What are my classes like? We start by reviewing the previous week's material, work on the new topic with real-world examples, and reinforce it with exercises or conversation. No fluff, no unnecessary details. My teaching style: My classes are dynamic, participatory, and (almost always) fun. I use games, real conversation, visual aids, and materials adapted to each age and level. The idea is for students to leave class with more confidence, not just more notes. If something isn't clear, we explain it another way. As many times as necessary. Who is it for? Children, teenagers, and adults of all levels. I teach English, history, literature, Catalan, Spanish, and Latin—from elementary school through high school.
