About Jon
Jon Savitt is an award-winning screenwriter, comedy writer, and author featured in places like Funny or Die, College Humor, TIME, Washington Post, NBC News, HuffPost, A.V. Club, Vulture, and more.
Jon got his start as a contributor for MTV’s Guy Code series and the comedy website College Humor, before earning a role as a writer on the hit web series "Good Mythical Morning".
Labeled as “one funny dude” by Will Ferrell’s Funny or Die, he’s made a name for himself both as a writer and a performer. He’s toured with several long-form solo shows, has performed at comedy festivals across the country — Dallas Comedy Fest, Hawaii Comedy Festival, Omaha Comedy Festival, Plano Comedy Festival, SketchFest Seattle, Twin Cities Jewish Humor Festival — and has opened for talent seen on Netflix, Comedy Central, and more.
Outside of performing, he’s optioned and sold several projects while collaborating with everyone from NBA All-Stars to U.S. Presidents. His humor book, “Unreal Athletes: Sports Legends You’ve Never Heard Of (Because They Don’t Exist)” was a #1 comedy release and can be found in stores nationwide.
When he isn’t developing his own projects, Jon hosts the late-night comedy game show “Never Too Late”, leads the Comedy Writers’ Room initiative (a free mentorship program for emerging comedy writers), and serves as the founder of Campfire, a storytelling studio.
His writing regularly appears in the nation’s top comedy publications.
