About Roopakshi

Hi! I'm a passionate dancer who has been dancing since the 4th grade, and it's been one of the biggest parts of my life ever since. I began my journey with four years of professional Bharatanatyam training, which gave me a strong foundation in discipline, technique, expression, and stage presence.

For the past three years, I've been training in and performing Commercial Choreography and Heels, while continuously exploring different styles to grow as a dancer. I've performed at numerous college events and on stage, experiences that have strengthened both my confidence and my love for performing.

As a teacher, I don't just want to be your instructor—I want to be your dance buddy. My goal is to create a fun, positive, and comfortable space where we can learn, improve, and enjoy dancing together. Whether you're a complete beginner or looking to level up your skills, I'll help you build confidence, refine your technique, and express yourself freely. I believe the best learning happens when you're having fun, and that's exactly what my classes are all about.

About the lesson

My classes are designed to help students build strong fundamentals while enjoying the learning process. Each session begins with stretching and general warm-ups, followed by targeted warm-up exercises specific to the dance style being taught. We then focus on technique building, including posture, musicality, body control, and movement quality. Once the foundation is set, we move on to learning choreography, followed by guided practice to improve execution, confidence, and performance. Classes are suitable for beginners as well as intermediate dancers, including school students, college students, and adults looking to learn Commercial, Heels, or Hip Hop in a supportive and motivating environment.
