About Tess
With a master’s in Economics and years of academic and practical experience, I’ve dedicated my teaching career to helping students see the beauty in decision-making. My classroom environment balances academic rigor with approachability, making even complex models feel clear and engaging. I integrate both quantitative and qualitative thinking in my sessions. Students learn not only how to calculate GDP or elasticity but how to interpret what those numbers mean for real people and industries. Economics with me is more than theory — it’s a conversation about the forces shaping our world. Each session begins by relating concepts like supply, demand, and inflation to everyday experiences such as shopping habits, housing trends, or global news. I use relatable scenarios to help students connect numbers with human behavior.
We delve deep into both micro and macroeconomics, analyzing how individuals, firms, and governments make choices. I encourage critical discussions where students debate fiscal policies, model market outcomes, and analyze real data. These exercises transform economics into an engaging, participatory subject.
Visual learning plays a major role in my lessons. Graphs, flowcharts, and interactive case studies are used to simplify abstract ideas like equilibrium or monetary policy. Students learn how theory translates into measurable outcomes, strengthening their analytical and interpretative skills.
Every topic concludes with applied reasoning — how economics influences society, sustainability, and technology. By the end, learners develop an economist’s mindset: logical, curious, and aware of how decisions ripple through the systems that govern life.
