About Ashwini
Ashwini Soni, a young and talented Kathak dancer, trainer and choreographer, has been learning Kathak since 19 years. Initially She started her Kathak training in Jabalpur Madhya Pradesh under the guidance of Pandit Moti Shivhare ji . She has completed her Post Diploma under Guru Smt. Malti Shyam ji at Kathak Kendra, New Delhi. And further training is continued under her guidance. A Masters' degree holder in kathak dance and Hindi Literature, she has completed Visharad in Kathak dance.
Ashwini is awarded with Sanskar Bharti Samman, Nrityashree Award, Pratibha Khoj Puraskar, Navrang Samman and Lok Kala Samman by Madhya Pradesh Lok Kala Prashasan. She is also a CCRT Scholarship holder.
She has performed in many prestigeous festivals of India such as the Vande Matram festival organized by Sangeet Natak Academy ministry of culture New Delhi , Mansoon festival organized by Kerala Sangeet Natak Academy (Kerala) , Nritya Natya Festival in Bharat Bhawan, Kala Utsava at Ravindra Bhawan, Simhastha Mahakumbha in Ujjain, Nohta Mahotsava in Damoh, 2nd Asia South Festival in Lucknow, etc, to name a few.
