About Louis

Hello! My name is Louis Cross, and I am passionate about music and teaching. With a Bachelor's degree in Songwriting from the British Institute of Modern Music and extensive experience in music composition, sound design, and theory, I am here to help you reach your musical goals. Why I Teach Teaching is a way for me to share my love for music and help others discover their own musical potential. I believe in a personalised approach, tailoring lessons to fit each student's unique needs and interests. Whether you're a beginner looking to learn the basics or an advanced student aiming to refine your skills, I am dedicated to providing a supportive and enriching learning environment. About the lesson

Online and in Stockport I am a dedicated and passionate teacher who wants to help you grow and succeed in your musical journey. I will help you learn your favourite songs, pass exams, teach you how to compose your own music, how to record music to a high standard and everything in between! Teaching Experience I have been tutoring a range of students from all walks of life including complete beginners to intermediate and through to professional musicians. I have a balanced and well-rounded knowledge and curriculum for music lessons covering composition, music theory, piano technique and guitar technique. I have also taught small groups in a workshop setting. My Music Journey From Folk, Blues and Americana to Classical and Soundtrack music I am truly obsessed with music and the emotion that it can create. I am a multi-instrumentalist and started playing guitar when I was 9 years old, and piano when I was 12 years old. This has opened many opportunities for me including performances in bands and as a solo artist at various venues in the North-West, resulting in positive responses from audiences and a large community in the industry. I now focus on composing music for media and have credits for short films and theatre shows. I have participated in various development programmes including No Barriers at The Met Bury, Co-pilot Scheme with Help Musicians, and Future Leaders Programme with Attitude is Everything. I will be starting my postgraduate degree in Composition at the end of 2024. Enquire Today!
