About Cerys
Hi there, I am Cerys Matthews, and I am a professional musician who gigs in Brighton and Norwich, and my dream is to go busking around the world. I used to live in Australia, where I joined a band, gigged around the country, and I was also a busy singing teacher. My favourite part of being a singing teacher is watching students grow in confidence and seeing them flourish in what they love. I started singing lessons at the age of 7, where I trained in classical music, achieving distinctions in my grades. Songwriting and performing have my heart, and I wouldn't be where I am today without my singing tutors. I want to pass on all I have learnt and experienced to my students. I believe everyone deserves the chance to achieve their dreams, and it can all start with a singing lesson.

With a Bachelor's Degree in music, two years of teaching experience, 18 years of singing experience, and 10 years as a performing musician, I possess a wealth of knowledge to help you achieve your goals. Whether you are singing for fun or preparing for a high-pressure audition, I will guide you to get the best out of your voice. Lessons will be tailored individually to you, consisting of warm-ups, drills, technique/song-based learning, and any other interests you may have, such as performance skills or learning theory. I take a warm, caring approach to lessons. I believe in confidence building, the power of talking, speech and taking things at a pace that suits you. I teach ages 7+ from beginner to advanced.
