About Anthony

Hello, my name in Anthony, a professional musician from the USA! I am a pianist, organist, and composer. I've earned my Bachelors of Arts degree in Music and have a graduate certificate in Film Scoring. I've composed music for ensembles ranging from solo instruments to duo sonatas, to quartets, to symphonic works. I've even composed a full opera. As a composer with 25 years of experience studying and practicing music theory and composition, it will be my pleasure to teach you everything I have learned along the way customized to your own musical goals.

About the lesson

Greetings, all! I am a musical professional and am willing to share all the musical knowledge I've gained in my 25 years of studying and composing music.

Music Theory is something that, when taught correctly, will feel very rational, predictable, formulaic, and make a lot of sense. Music Theory is the secret ingredient to understanding music, and with that understanding you can become an informed listener and even create your own music!

For those who are beginning, you will start by learn about music history and the tradition of western classical music and music notation (melodic and rhythmic). You will also learn how to identify the keys on a keyboard and read notes on the staff.

For students who have beginner knowledge but want to learn more, you will learn about scales, chord building, 7th chords, and modulating between different keys.

For those students who have all the knowledge of tonal music theory and want to learn to apply it by composing their own music, we can explore lessons in composition and orchestration.
