About Aisha

Teaching Piano from my own studio: I have taught piano from my studio at home for 3+ years. Teaching all ages from 6 years old to adults. I have taught online lessons and in-person lessons as well as a few in-person group workshops for ages 4-6 alongside other piano teachers. I held a recital at this studio for all of my younger students and helped them develop their pieces to be performance-ready. Music teaching assistant work experience: I have over 5 years of experience as a music teaching assistant, teaching piano, guitar, ukulele, and drums. I was working with children aged 8-17 here. I was working for my father, who teaches guitar and group music lessons for young bands. Pianist Experience: I am a lifetime musician and started learning the piano as a teen myself. I have been playing piano for over 9 years, almost 10! Even though I have no traditional training, such as grades, I have learned songs such as Clair de Lune being self-taught, and because of my unique method of learning music, I know I can use this to help others. Additional Training & Music School: I was a student at South West Music School, an extracurricular music school in England, UK. I was given a piano teacher and assistance with starting to teach piano myself. This helped me grow my business into what it is today.

Student-led approach:
I always begin with goal setting during the first lesson. These goals are reviewed as needed and adjusted accordingly to ensure the students' goals remain accurate and are always prioritized in everything we do.

What to expect and what makes this teaching style unique?

Lessons are structured around pieces that the student has selected, typically 2-3 songs. We work on these throughout the lessons and refer back to any specific techniques required to progress. This way, students develop an understanding of why it is essential to learn the piano basics.
They are using the song as motivation and genuinely enjoy the process because I use games to teach these topics in a fun way. It's a win-win, and I love seeing my students find so much joy in this!
