About Ray
I am a Professor of Clinical Dentistry with advanced training in integrative anatomical sciences and extensive experience teaching regional anatomy, systems-based anatomy, kinesiology, and biomechanics to students of various academic pursuits. My teaching is grounded in a reduction approach where I teach you how to minimize all of the overwhelming content into a few simple principles that are easy to expand upon.
I pride myself in helping students embrace the learning process as they work towards improving their performance and long-term retention.

I hold a graduate degree in human anatomy and have experience teaching high school, undergraduate, medical, dental, and nurse anesthesia students. I also guest lecture for pediatric dental residents annually! Because of this diverse background, I know what key concepts educators want students to learn at each level.
I teach you how to make sense of anatomy rather than memorize it. By walking my students through my "reduction approach," we reduce complex concepts into small principles that can easily be applied. This promotes critical thinking, better recall, and improved scores.
My sessions consist of a review of the content that you are learning and/or content from past sessions. Then, we move into a structured breakdown of the concepts as I lead you to identify an underlying theme or principle. I then teach you how to know all of the material by only holding onto those few principles that you identified. This makes studying more efficient and yields higher performance!
