About Dorcas

Hi there! I am Ms. Dorcas with an Associate Diploma in Piano Performance & Teaching from the UK. I have been teaching for over 3 years, helping students with their piano and singing exams from different boards, including Trinity, ABRSM, and London College Of Music. Here's a brief introduction to my musical journey. I started learning the piano at the age of 5 and singing at the age of 6 in a church choir. I've always enjoyed listening to sounds and creating them. Sadly, I went through various teachers with different methodologies that couldn't solidify my musical skills & literacy. That includes hand techniques, sight-reading, applying music theory, understanding music history, and music appreciation. All in all, a cohesive & holistic understanding of the subject of music was lacking. That motivates and inspires me to give the kind of music education that all children need to appreciate the art of music to its full potential through holistic music methodologies and pedagogies.

About the lesson

Skillful fundamental music course that is short and fun, with interactive games that promote effective learning for your child through carefully curated study of music pedagogy. Develop your child's music literacy at a very young age so that sight reading no longer feels like a dreadful difficult task but an enjoyable activity. Skillsets you will attain: 1. Apply music literacy knowledge to any musical instrument At the heart of it, the aim is to nurture a child's love, enthusiasm and passion for music.
