About Ellie

As a Psychology student at Nottingham Trent University, I am passionate about helping A-Level students build confidence and achieve their academic goals in psychology. I understand that the subject can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially when learning complex theories, research methods, and essay-writing techniques, so I aim to make lessons clear, supportive, and engaging.

I am patient, approachable, and committed to creating a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing their understanding at their own pace. My academic experience has strengthened my skills in critical thinking, research, communication, and analysis, all of which I incorporate into my tutoring sessions.

I take pride in being organised, reliable, and professional in every lesson. I tailor sessions to each student’s individual needs, whether they require help with revision, exam preparation, essay structure, or improving confidence in the subject overall. My goal is not only to help students improve their grades, but also to encourage a genuine interest and enjoyment in psychology.

About the lesson

I take a supportive and personalised approach to tutoring, adapting each lesson to the student’s individual learning style and goals. My teaching focuses on building confidence, improving understanding of key psychological theories and studies, and developing strong exam and essay-writing techniques. I use a mixture of discussion, interactive activities, practice questions, revision strategies, and real-life examples to make lessons engaging and easy to understand.

Lessons are typically 60 minutes long, although shorter or longer sessions can be arranged depending on the student’s needs. I aim to create a relaxed and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing their confidence in the subject.

I am currently studying Psychology at Nottingham Trent University and have a strong academic background in psychology, research methods, and analytical thinking. My studies have helped me develop excellent communication, organisation, and critical thinking skills, which I bring into my tutoring sessions.

My lessons are suitable for A-Level psychology students who want support with understanding content, revision, coursework, exam preparation, or improving grades. I am passionate about helping students feel more confident and motivated in their learning while making psychology enjoyable and accessible.
