About Courteney
I’m a friendly and dedicated Psychology tutor offering support for students studying GCSE, A-Level, and undergraduate Psychology. I have a strong academic background in Psychology and a passion for helping students not just understand the subject, but also to achieve top grades.
I graduated my undergraduate in Psychology (2:1) and my Masters in Clinical Health Psychology (2:1). I help students: - Master key topics such as health psychology, attachment, clinical disorders, ethical and professional issues, and research methods - Improve exam technique, including how to structure high-mark answers (e.g. 16-mark essays) - Develop strong evaluation skills to boost grades - Build confidence and reduce exam stress. For undergraduate students, I also provide support with: - Essay writing and critical analysis, as well as research methods.
I tailor every lesson to the student’s needs, whether that’s breaking down difficult concepts, improving writing skills, or preparing for upcoming exams. My goal is to make Psychology clear, engaging, and manageable. I’m patient, approachable, and committed to helping every student reach their full potential.

The importance of tutoring goes far beyond extra support. I prioritise person-centred support. Lessons are structured, supportive, and tailored to each student’s goals. I focus on both understanding key psychological concepts and developing the exam skills needed to achieve higher grades.
Lessons are usually 60 minutes and delivered online. I adapt my teaching style depending on the student, whether they need more structure, revision support, or help building confidence.
