About Jonathan
Hi! I’m Jonathan, a 3D artist, indie game developer, and founder of Dinobyte Softworks. I have a background in game art and hands-on experience creating 3D assets, environments, textures, and interactive projects for games.
I work primarily with Blender/Maya, Substance Painter, and Unreal Engine, and I enjoy helping beginners understand the full process of creating game-ready artwork from simple blockouts and modeling to UVs, texturing, and bringing assets into a game engine.
I know 3D art can feel overwhelming when you’re first starting out, so I try to make lessons relaxed, practical, and easy to follow. I encourage students to ask questions, experiment, make mistakes, and learn by actually creating things rather than simply memorizing tools.
Whether you’re completely new to Blender, interested in game development, building a portfolio, or working toward your own personal project, I’m happy to help you develop your skills step by step.

My lessons are designed for beginners and aspiring 3D artists who want to learn through hands-on projects rather than just watching tutorials. We’ll start with the fundamentals of Blender and gradually work through modeling, primary and secondary forms, topology, UVs, texturing, and creating game-ready assets. Depending on your goals, we can also explore Substance Painter, Unreal Engine, character modeling, props, environments, and portfolio development.
I adapt each lesson to your current skill level and interests. You’ll work alongside me, ask questions as we go, and receive small projects or exercises to practice between lessons. My goal is to help you understand why we use certain techniques, not simply memorize buttons, so you can eventually create projects independently.
