About Alisa

High school students and bootcamp learners often feel overwhelmed by the sheer volume of syntax to memorize during one session. I was the student who asked too many questions in my early classes, so I have endless patience for those who do the same. This perspective shapes my approach to technical concepts.

I work best with people who want to understand the logic rather than just pass a test. Half of our time focuses on Python syntax, while the other half builds the confidence needed to tackle bugs independently.

I approach coding and confidence as skills that anyone can learn and improve. My degree from Carnegie Mellon University provides the foundation for my structured, clear teaching style.

Clean code is my priority. Clever tricks often hide bugs that cause headaches later.

I prefer readability over complexity. You will find that I keep things simple. This makes the learning process much less intimidating for beginners.

Simple scripts rarely prepare you for real world coding challenges. I prioritize reading actual past papers and project files early on to bridge the gap between theory and application.

Studying how others write code reveals more than any textbook chapter. My lessons move away from rote memorization toward structural mastery.

We examine file handling, error management, and dictionary structures to solve realistic problems together. I hold a BS from Carnegie Mellon University, which influences how I break down complex modules.

Sessions end with you explaining the logic back to me to ensure total clarity. This loop confirms that you have grasped the underlying concepts. Coding becomes quite fun when the logic finally clicks into place.
