About the lesson

I provide highly personalised maths tutoring designed around each student’s individual needs and learning style. Through my experience teaching in challenging school environments, I have developed strong classroom management, resilience, and the ability to build trust quickly with students who need both structure and encouragement. I am also experienced in supporting EAL and SEN learners, and I adapt my teaching to make sure every student can access the lesson and make meaningful progress.

My approach combines clear explanations, step-by-step teaching, structured practice, and regular checks for understanding. I place strong emphasis on mastering each topic before moving on, while also using retrieval practice and exam-style questions to build confidence and improve outcomes. I keep parents informed of progress and ensure students stay on track both in lessons and through independent study.

Alongside academic support, I also provide mentoring to help students develop confidence, better study habits, and a stronger sense of direction. I understand that many young people need more than subject knowledge alone — they need someone who can support their growth, motivation, and long-term success.
