About David

I am a super motivated and enthusiastic music teacher with three years of teaching experience who loves music and teaching! I played music most of my life, I write my own songs and play in my own band. I decided to become a teacher because I want to show my students that music isn't a chore, and to help them fall in love with music, to carry it forward into their lives. I want to show students the importance of learning an instrument, expressing themselves and to create friendships with other musicians. I will do my absolute best to ensure my student's goals are being met, along with helping them achieve their best in every lesson. Lessons with myself are a relaxing and enjoyable process!

About the lesson

I like to firstly ask my students what their goal is before starting lessons. This gives me enough information to create weekly lesson plans suited for them in order to make sure that they are progressing at a steady rate. My techniques involve a series of warm-up exercises, chord and scale work, practical music theory along with preparing a piece/song for the student to learn and practice. Lessons will usually be 30 minutes long, but I am open to 60-minute lessons depending on the students' needs. I have three years of teaching experience in two private music schools in Drogheda and Dundalk in County Louth, called Toccata House Music School and Dundalk School of Music. I have over two years of experience teaching students of all ages and levels. I have prepared numerous students for RIAM and VCM exams in both Piano and Guitar. My lessons are for anyone who is eager to pick up piano/guitar as an instrument, or is determined to improve their overall skills in their instrument. I aim to teach kids and adults from ages 5 on.

Lesson prices are as follows: €25 per 30-minute lesson €35 per 45-minute lesson €50 per 60-minute lesson You can either pay per lesson or the monthly rate at the start of each month.
