About Aisling

Hello! My name is Aisling, I am 25 years old and I have been teaching for 4 years. I am originally from a small town in New Jersey, USA and I have been living in Ireland for over 7 years now. My hobbies include running, reading and traveling. I enjoy teaching because it is a fun and rewarding career where I am continually progressing and learning new teaching methods. My favorite part is when students progress and fulfill their goals. Each student is unique and lessons vary so it is always interesting!

About the lesson

I believe every student learns differently and lesson plans are flexible, and adapted to student´s individual needs. A sample lesson plan I offer includes: - Warm-up Activity, introduction (What you want to learn! Individual lesson topic, chosen based on student´s long-term goals for achievements) - Overview, the teacher presents the topic in greater detail and demonstrates the subject material - Controlled Practice, the student is allowed to practice what has been presented to them in the form of various activities and games, - Production, the student is allowed to practice the material more freely, typically in the form of dialogue or quick written exercises - Review and Closing, the material is presented again by the teacher or student in various forms/activities to cement what was covered in the lesson
