About Romain

Bonjour! I am a qualified French teacher and native French speaker with a PGCE from the University of Portsmouth and a Master's degree in Education from the University of Lille.

I currently teach French in the UK and have experience preparing students for GCSE and A-Level examinations. I have taught pupils from Year 7 to Sixth Form and am passionate about helping learners gain confidence in speaking, listening, reading and writing.

I adapt lessons to each student's needs, whether you are preparing for exams, improving conversational French, or learning the language from scratch.

About the lesson

My name is Romain, and I am a qualified French teacher with a PGCE from the University of Portsmouth and a Master's degree in Education from the University of Lille. I have experience teaching French in the UK to students from Year 6 to Sixth Form and preparing learners for GCSE and A-Level examinations.

My lessons are tailored to each student's needs and objectives. Whether you are a complete beginner, preparing for GCSE or A-Level exams, or simply looking to improve your conversational French, I adapt my teaching methods to suit your learning style.

A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes and combines speaking, listening, reading and writing activities. I focus on building confidence and developing practical communication skills while ensuring that grammar and vocabulary are taught in a clear and structured way. Lessons can also include exam preparation, pronunciation practice and support with homework.

I aim to create a friendly and encouraging atmosphere where students feel comfortable making mistakes and progressing at their own pace.

I teach children, teenagers and adults, from beginner to advanced level, and I offer lessons online.
