About Rachel
I want to teach because I understand first-hand the challenges that come with studying social work. There were times when I struggled during my training, but with the right support, encouragement, and guidance, I was able to overcome those challenges and grow into a confident, autonomous, and skilled Social Worker I am today.
That experience has inspired me to support others on their own journey. I know how important it is to have someone who believes in you, helps you make sense of complex concepts, and supports you to build your confidence.
My goal is to provide that same level of support, helping students to develop not only the knowledge they need to succeed academically but also the confidence and skills to become compassionate, capable practitioners.

My personal approach to tutoring is being supportive, empowering, and tailoring to each individual student. I believe everyone learns differently, so I take the time to understand your goals, strengths, and areas where you may require more confidence. I create a relaxed, non-judgemental environment where you feel comfortable asking questions and learning at your own pace.
I combine academic knowledge with real-life social work experience, helping you not only understand the theory but also how to apply it in practice. This was something that I struggled with and have seen many do the same throughout my years of working.
My aim is to build your confidence, develop your critical thinking, and equip you with the skills you need to succeed throughout your social work journey and beyond.
