About Charlotte
Hello, I’m Charlotte, a qualified primary school teacher with experience teaching children aged 5–11. I am passionate about helping children develop confidence in maths and supporting them to achieve their full potential in a positive and encouraging environment.
Through my classroom experience, I have developed a strong understanding of the primary maths curriculum, including arithmetic, reasoning, and problem-solving. I have worked with pupils of all abilities, from those who need extra support to those aiming to reach greater depth.
I am patient, approachable, and adaptable in my teaching. I understand that many children can find maths challenging, so I focus on breaking concepts down into clear, manageable steps and building confidence along the way.
My aim is not only to improve mathematical skills, but also to help children feel more confident, capable, and positive about their learning.

As a qualified primary school teacher, I take a calm, structured and supportive approach to maths tutoring. I understand that many children can feel anxious about maths, so I focus on building confidence alongside developing strong foundational skills.
I tailor each lesson to the individual child, using a combination of clear explanations, step-by-step modelling, and plenty of guided practice. I use a range of engaging resources and strategies, including visual methods, practical examples, and reasoning questions, to help children fully understand concepts rather than just memorise procedures.
My lessons typically last 45–60 minutes, giving enough time to introduce new learning, practise key skills, and revisit previous topics to reinforce understanding. I ensure sessions are well-paced, positive, and adapted to suit each child’s needs.
I have classroom experience teaching children aged 5–11 (KS1 and KS2) and a strong understanding of the primary maths curriculum, including arithmetic, problem-solving, and reasoning, as well as SATs preparation. My lessons are suitable for primary-aged pupils who need extra support, want to build confidence, or are aiming to deepen their understanding and achieve higher results.

I’m very happy to recommend Charlotte who I’ve worked closely with for the past three years.
During this time, she has shown herself to be kind, reliable, and incredibly hard-working. She is fully committed and always goes the extra mile to support both pupils.
She consistently puts children at the centre of everything she does, making thoughtful decisions that reflect their individual needs and wellbeing. She creates a positive, inclusive environment where children feel safe, valued, and motivated to learn.
She also has strong subject knowledge, which comes through clearly in her teaching. Her lessons are well-planned, engaging, and adapted to suit a range of abilities, helping all pupils to make good progress.Charlotte was an incredible role model to me when I first started teaching. From the very beginning, her passion and skill for teaching were clear—she brought energy, care, and purpose into everything she did.
What truly set Charlotte apart was the genuine impact she had on her students. She didn’t just teach; she inspired. She had a remarkable ability to connect with every child, helping them feel seen, supported, and capable. Because of this, she made a real difference in so many children’s lives, both academically and personally.
It’s no surprise that she was always the favourite teacher—the one every student hoped to have. Charlotte’s dedication, warmth, and talent make her an exceptional educator, and anyone who has the chance to work with or learn from her is incredibly lucky.
