About Gethin
I graduated from Lancaster University with a Masters in Physics, Astrophysics and Cosmology in 2023, and a year later I completed my PGCE at Bangor University. Fast-forward to 2026, and I'm a Physics and Mathematics tutor, holding Qualified Teacher Status and school teacher registration with the EWC.
I have offered my tutoring services bilingually in Gwynedd and Anglesey for the better part of two years now, and have received nothing but positive feedback. My sessions are individually tailored to each learner, targeting weak points strategically while reinforcing core skills over time.

I offer one-on-one sessions that focus on identifying areas in need of improvement and gradually building up confidence and understanding.
Sessions are typically one hour each week, though longer / more frequent sessions can be negotiated at GCSE and especially A-Level. I tend to prefer in-person sessions, though I do offer online sessions as an alternative, primarily for long-distance learners.
I most frequently provide sessions at GCSE level, usually following WJEC course specifications, though I also teach A-Level and years 7-9. I'm more than happy to provide sessions in English or Welsh as needed by the learner.
In-person sessions in the Bethesda / Bangor region will not incur a travel fee. Beyond that, a £10 travel fee is added to each session.
