About Daniel

Having completed a PGCE (Post 14) in Geology (A-Level), Science and Maths at GCSE, I now work as a private tutor enhancing knowledge, skills and understanding of these subjects where technical details can often be difficult to grasp first time round. I have gained a wealth of transferable skills from working in a high achieving secondary school and 6th Form, enabling students to reach their full potential at A, AS level as well as 1:1 support with students studying towards their GCSE qualifications. I hold a BSc (Hons) Geology degree and an MSc Applied Petroleum Geoscience degree I am ideally placed to support students on undergraduate and postgraduate Earth Science courses within higher education in the UK and abroad. I am passionate about the environment and would relish the opportunity to support students with their postgraduate studies which will all contribute towards net zero carbon emissions. Additionally, I hold a BHSc (Hons) Nursing (Post-Registration) degree after completing my Advanced Diploma in Nursing (Mental Health Branch) studies at the University of Leeds and have worked as a nurse for almost two decades. I would be happy to provide personal tuition for anyone studying on health and social care pathways, psychology courses and pharmacology (psychopharmacology speciality). I am happy to provide a reference for Daniel, who was my trainee on the PGCE in Post-14 Education and Training from 2014 to 2015. Daniel's specialism is Geology; however, during his placement he also experienced some maths teaching and would be well placed to support in this area too. Daniel is an extremely genial guy who will definitely be a real asset as a tutor, either for individuals or groups. He is very supportive and a particular strength of his is to break down concepts people may be struggling with and explain them in a more accessible way.
