About Vankshita
I’m a physicist/chemist as well as freelance filmmaker and writer. I have a background in acting, directing, editing and also publishing, especially of poetry. I have been tutoring A Level Students for the past year on a year weekly basis.

I first ask students what their problems or weak spots are and then base my classes around this. I start at the concepts — making sure students are able to answer questions based on how topics are derived rather than by memorising. I want to give a broad understanding of how science works and teach the scientific method which can then be applicable to most situations.

My son enjoys Maths but is not a good examinee. He has always found it difficult to find a teacher who is sensitive to his weaknesses and Vankshita has been wonderful in bringing back his confidence. She is patient, calm and great at simplifying complex problems. He has now decided to take Maths at Uni.
Vankshita has been an amazing tutor to my daughter in her GCSE. Apart fro being very sound in her teaching she is perceptive as well as sensitive to the child’s weak areas. She moved from. 7 to 9. Thank you Vankshita!

Details
I prefer to teach 1hr 15min lessons as I have found this is a good amount of time to go over papers etc with students so my rate is £30 for this length of time.
