About Zelma
12 years of active coaching has taught me how to break down complex fretboard mechanics for any skill level. I have worked with 106 students to move past plateaus and into fluid playing.
My focus remains on power chords, scales, modes, and reading tabs to ensure a complete understanding of the instrument. I also emphasize ear training and barre chords to solidify your foundation as a musician.
You might struggle with improvisation or soloing right now, but those hurdles disappear with consistent practice. I am a musician first, and I truly value the process of growth. It is rewarding to watch a student finally find their own sound.

The most effective way to learn guitar is to ignore the metronome for a moment. You need to feel the music before you try to count it. I incorporate my 12 years of experience and my BS Recording Arts background to explain how rhythm and melody interact on the fretboard. We assess your progress with a monthly recorded review to track exactly where you have improved.
A 9.0 rating from my past students reflects the focus I place on your technique. I love when the pieces finally click and the music starts to flow naturally.
