About Milan
I have had several qualifications and opportonuties to work 1-on-1 with people on their data analysis project.
I have obtained a Masters degree (Cum Laude) in Epidemiology and Health Science from the largest academic hospital in the Netherlands - Erasmus Medical Centre, Rotterdam. I am currently completing a PhD in Psychiatric Epidemiology.
I also have a freelance data analytics job in which I offer business insights based on client's data.

Starting a data analysis project is tricky. There are countless choices to make at each step, and each choice can have a profound effect on the results you get! Luckily, with experience one can learn how to navigate these difficult choices and make informed decisions based on the data. Over the past 8 years I have collected exactly this type of experience to conduct and teach data analysis.
I have a Masters degree in epidemiology and health research and I am defending a PhD in psychiatric epidemiology. Throughout the years, I have supervised 1-on-1 over 40 students as they successfully completed their Bachelor/Master theses. My approach is to split each project in intuitive for the student steps:
1. Start with understanding what question the student wants to ask of the data and what question CAN be asked from the data
2. Get the data in a friendly enough shape before we interogate it together and collect results. I use SPSS or R depending on the level of complexity the student is required to work on
3. Carry out the analyses that will most closely correspond to the research question we came up with at Step 1
4. Interpret the results together and disseminate them in a way other people can understand where they came from
By the end, you will have a good understanding of what we did at each step. You will also have a report of the results from your data analysis project.
