When I started my teaching career as a university professor, I had certain objectives in my mind. My first objective was to become an effective teacher with a positive frame of mind. I encouraged my students to interact freely with me. I always wanted them to ask questions from me. Their asking questions always gave me a lot of satisfaction as it showed me their interest in what I was teaching. I involved my students in what I was teaching in the class by giving them practical examples from day to day life. These examples when discussed in the class lead to a better understanding of the topic. As a mathematic professor I always tried to reinforce analytical and problem solving skills to a broad range of academic areas. My endeavor is to teach my students the application of the basic principles of mathematics and to develop reasoning abilities in them. This can be done only by putting forward practical assignments to the students.
