About Lin
As a committed Guitar tutor with 12 years of teaching and professional experience, I focus on helping school and college students progress from beginners to confident performers.
I strongly emphasise developing technical skills such as chord accuracy, rhythm control, scale practice, finger exercises, and expressive playing.
Many of the proudest milestones in my career include students performing independently and gaining recognition at school and college events. My classes are structured, supportive, and adaptive to each student’s pace, allowing steady progress while keeping learning enjoyable.
I also guide students in developing creativity, effective practice routines, goal-setting, and stage confidence. My mission is to inspire students to become skilled, confident, and passionate guitarists who carry a lifelong love for music.

My approach to teaching Guitar focuses on building a strong foundation while encouraging creative exploration through Motivation, Communication, Integrity, and Creativity.
I start with the basics such as tuning, posture alignment, simple chord patterns, and rhythm exercises before gradually introducing advanced techniques like fingerstyle methods and scale improvisation.
Motivation keeps students inspired and consistent in their practice. Communication ensures that each lesson is explained clearly and demonstrated practically for better understanding.
Integrity is central to my method, as I emphasise correct finger placement, smooth chord transitions, and steady rhythm control. I provide constructive feedback and encourage responsible practice habits. Creativity is nurtured by allowing students to experiment with different musical styles and create original melodies. Besides Guitar, I also teach music reading and ear training skills.
