About Atharv

Hey there! My name is Atharv Koratkar, and I am a current sophomore at Rutgers University - New Brunswick. I am currently pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Computer Engineering.

As a full time college student, I am also looking to be a part time tutor as well! I absolutely love teaching students and helping them succeed in their classes. For me, tutoring benefits both sides: the student is able to seek guidance, feel confident in the materials, and also deeply understand what they are learning. On other hand, it benefits me as I am able to apply my strong organization and communication skills to help students in need.

Outside of college, some of my hobbies include Rubik's Cube, coding, guitar, and robotics. These are hobbies that have been doing for more than 5 years on end and they have been the main catalysts for who I am today. I also really like learning about engineering and robotics, which is one of the main reasons why I decided to pursue Computer Engineering in college.

I am really excited to have the chance to work with other students to help them become the best versions of themselves in academics, but also in life!

About the lesson

As a tutor, I will provide a unique learning experience for all students, and change teaching techniques given a students needs.

My teaching method and techniques include proactively engaging with students, asking them questions, challenging them to solve problems by themselves, and also providing positive support whenever needed.

A typical lesson plan will goes as such:

1. Will start the class asking if the student requires any help for any topics that they struggle with in a specific subject.
2. After identifying areas, we will go through practice problems and concepts together and I will guide the student to strongly understand what they are learning.
3. To end off, I will ask the student some problems to solve, and also answer question they may have after the session.

What really sets me apart from other tutors is my passion and drive to help rising students. I truly believe that all students deserve a chance to succeed in academics and in life, and that I will be there for them when they get the chance. My biggest goal as a tutor is to create a welcoming, warm, and positive environment where students are able to be comfortable, confident, and not afraid to ask questions. I am going to be a focused and organized individual that will allow students to excel in the best way possible.

The lessons are for anyone in elementary, middle school, high school, and some college students. As a rising engineering student in college, I can provide guidance to those who need help in math, physics, or basic engineering!
