About Liz
I have been a drummer and teacher for over 20 years. I started learning about music aged 4 and have built my life around playing, listening and exploring music. I love discovering and developing people's musical potential and sharing a passion for music with others, offering my knowledge and perspective to those who want it.
I have toured festivals and venues across the UK, EU and USA; performed on BBC TV and Radio and been a member of award-winning bands. I gig regularly around South Wales with jazz and pick-up bands.
I am a newly qualified Music Therapist with experience working in schools and hospitals with children and adults.

I am very happy to follow a traditional grades approach.
More often, people have ideas about what they would like to be able to play on drums. Maybe they want to play a favourite song, be like a favourite drummer or play a style of music.
I like to understand this through listening to music together and chatting, using improvisation to explore a person's abilities and skills. I build lessons to develop what a person can already do and use creative exercises to expand a person's skills.
