About Roger
I am a newly retired educator and taught three years in Ontario before transitioning to Alberta where I taught for 18 years. As a Master Teacher, I spent time in classrooms around the district, encouraging teachers to utilize Bloom’s Taxonomy in their testing regimen. Searching for ways to engage reluctant and non-consumers of public education, I conceived of, planned for, and managed operation of one of the world’s first virtual schools in 1998. Later, I taught in West Africa near the end of my career and still stay in touch with those students today.

About the lesson

Lessons will be customized for each learner and may follow what’s going on in class, or be designed to teach particular skills such as essay writing. Personalized lessons will begin with a discussion of purpose (what is the introductory paragraph so important?) and will introduce exemplars to provide colour. Practice exercises will be examined and edited, before the learner can more easily write an engaging introductory paragraph.
