About Katherine
My name is Katherine and I am a second year biology student at Ryerson University. I went to Mary Ward Catholic Secondary School, which is a self study school. What this means is that I taught myself all throughout high school, and it made me very independent and efficient with my learning. I love meeting new people and helping them learn. I'm also willing to provide lessons with chemistry and biology work. My friends have told me on multiple occasions that when I explain concepts to them it helps them understand and remember it for upcoming tests and so I thought that I would be around to help others who are having a more difficult time understanding the harder courses at school.

When I teach, I like to start off by getting to know the student, and fully understanding what it is that they are having trouble with. I myself am a book learner and I am able to learn from examples provided. However, if a student requires more than textbook examples, I am able to create one that engages the student and makes them more interested in the subject they are learning. Typically, I start off with familiarizing myself with the material and then make sure that I am prepared before the lesson. I enjoy helping people, whether it be by teaching them or through any other method. These classes that I will be providing are targeted towards high school students that require extra help with math, excluding calculus, biology, or chemistry as well as elementary students that need extra help with science and math.
