About Jiae

Jiae's journey in dance began in China at the age of 7 years old, building foundations in Chinese traditional dance initially before discovering more styles of interest once moved to Australia at the age of 9 in KPOP and a passion to create choreography for her favourite songs specifically in KR&B and CR&B genres.

As a former @truthxdarecrew and an active member of @155cm_official, Jiae has extensive experience in teaching KPOP in various Melbourne Dance studios including:

BEGINNER:

In the beginner classes, the main focus will be building up foundations. This will include training body awareness and control. I will also teach a simple routine in each class to enhance the knowledge of different movements which will assist with muscle memory.

INTERMEDIATE:

In the intermediate class, we will start to focus more on improving flexibility and working on body isolations and how to use your body to its full potential to make a move look its best and find your own style along the way. We will continue with learning dance routines, however, with more challenging movements. You'll be able to learn dances at more ease with more confidence and understand how to execute certain moves with these lessons!

ADVANCED:

The advanced dance classes are for those who already have strong foundations and knowledge in dance but are looking to go above and beyond with consistent training. Here, we will implement personalised routine regimens to further assist with achieving better results in your performance. Training may include drilling body isolations, strength training (gym equipment provided), as well as practising freestyle and groves to your favourite songs which will also enhance your musicality in your dances. These lessons will not only help with your abilities to perform but also enable you to express music better through your bodies and movements.

The goal of my lessons is to understand and assist each and every individual with different starting points and levels of interest in mind to achieve their own personal goals with my knowledge and capabilities. I also hope my lessons can bring you more confidence and a love and passion for dance.
