About Ellen

I currently work as a band 7 senior charge nurse in an ED at a major trauma centre. My career spans over 15 years in 5 different countries. The mentors that stuck with me were the ones who were passionate, driven and loved sharing their knowledge. And that is how I am today! I love being a nurse and being able to react in a situation many would find daunting. Recently I have completed my NCLEX and have active registration in the USA.

About the lesson

I have provided teaching sessions to students, colleagues and other healthcare professionals both in the UK and abroad so being adaptable has been a must. I tailor my teaching style to individuals, their learning goals and in line with their learning style. Active participation and discussion is essential! I aim to keep lessons to around 1 hour but depending on the learning goal can break down into smaller bites over a period of time. Qualifications & accomplishments within the nursing field; - BSc in European Nursing (Hons), Middlesex University - Postgraduate certificate for foundations in emergency nursing (adult), King's College London - Postgraduate certificate for foundations in emergency nursing (paediatric), King's College London - Postgraduate certificate for minor injuries and minor ailments, King's College London -ALS (instructor potential demonstrated) -PILS -ATLS observer -Only nurse as part of a trauma scoping mission with an international NGO -Mission reports published by ECHO (European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations) -Key nurse in establishing a functioning emergency department in an active conflict zone - Nurse education provider for nurses in an active conflict zone - Band 7 ED senior charge nurse in a major trauma centre If you are considering nursing, a nursing student or a qualified nurse at any level seeking mentorship or want tutoring for nursing related subjects then I am for you!
