About Kanwar

I have an engineering background and have completed a postgraduate degree in computer science. I’ve worked in the software industry for over eight years as a full-stack developer across multiple domains, including ERP systems, FinTech, POS platforms, and legal software. I’m currently working with a New York–based software engineering firm.

Throughout my career, I’ve built front-end applications, backend services, and databases, and have worked on real-world systems that support enterprise-level applications. This experience has given me strong insight into how modern software systems are designed, scaled, and maintained in production environments, beyond academic theory.

I enjoy helping students and early-career developers understand not just how to code, but why certain design and architectural decisions are made. My focus is on practical learning, interview preparation, and sharing industry insights so students can make confident decisions about their learning paths and careers in software development.

I enjoy teaching and explaining concepts in a clear, structured, and approachable way, with an emphasis on real-world understanding.

About the lesson

I specialize in teaching practical software development using real-world examples. Depending on the student’s goals, we focus on one primary programming language (such as C#, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python) and apply it through small, well-defined custom exercises or mini-projects, which I’ve found to be the most effective way to learn both coding and basic software design.

A typical lesson includes a clear explanation of a specific concept or functionality, followed by hands-on practice during the session. The emphasis is on writing code and understanding implementation, rather than heavy theory.

When appropriate, I may suggest a short follow-up task to reinforce the concept, which we can review in the next session. Sessions are structured, goal-oriented, and designed to deliver progress without unnecessary overload.

These lessons are suitable for students, junior developers, and working professionals who want to strengthen their programming skills, prepare for interviews, or gain a clearer understanding of how real-world software systems are built.
