About Christine
Prior to the move to NYC last October, I’ve had at least 6 years of experience teaching elementary students in Singapore. My main teaching subjects were English, Math and Science.
Managing an average class size of approximately 30-35 students has made me become more aware of the diversity of learners and their preferred learning styles. My teaching methods would certainly be tailored and customised to suit the needs of learners.
Back in 2010, I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry before deciding to broaden my teaching skill sets and attained a Post Graduate Diploma in Teaching in 2012. Also, prior to working as a classroom teacher, I've had two years of tutoring experiences coaching elementary and high school students and a year of experience working as a teacher aide.

Use of visuals and real-life examples wherever possible to invoke relevance so that learners can have a deeper understanding of subject content. Also, assessing learners’ mastery of concepts taught through informal quizzes and assessments. I believe that providing learners with timely feedback is essential in enabling them to move forward.
